How my journey began

Hello! I’m Tracy, and I’m passionate about supporting families during one of life’s most profound transitions—childbirth. My journey into the world of birth work began with my experience at Mothers First, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of providing care and resources to families facing health disparities. It was there that I felt called to become a doula, to offer unwavering support and to be a source of strength, education, and advocacy during labor and beyond.

I have been a doula since my first grandson was conceived, and I officially became a certified doula in 2024. I am also a CPR/First Aid/BLS instructor and a Black Parenting facilitator, which allows me to support families in a holistic way, offering not just physical but emotional and educational care. I have experience working with justice-involved individuals, as well as those navigating substance use and mental health challenges, which has enriched my understanding of the diverse needs of families.

My approach to birth is centered around choice, empowerment, and compassion. I believe that every family deserves the opportunity to make informed decisions that align with their values and needs. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, a homebirth, or anything in between, I’m here to provide personalized, evidence-based support and comfort techniques to ensure you feel confident, supported, and heard at every step of your birthing journey.

I also offer postpartum support tailored to your unique needs, whether that includes assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, or simply being there to listen as you adjust to life with your new baby.

If you choose me as your doula, you can count on a warm, nonjudgmental presence that will advocate for your wishes, provide emotional reassurance, and offer practical solutions when challenges arise. I limit the number of families I work with each month to ensure I can offer the highest level of care and availability to each family.

Thank you for considering me to be a part of your birth story. I would be honored to support you during this incredible experience!
